Tour 5: Acebuches - canyon hike and tapas

If you are looking for an easy hike in beautiful surroundings with a good tapas menu to finish off the day,  then this is your tour! We start our hike in the village of Cercados de Espino where, just behind its picturesque church with its "oil and vinegar" shop, we climb up to Paso Caballo. The trail is flanked by endemic plants that, compared to other places on the island, tend to be enormous in this area. We pass old houses and abandoned agricultural terraces. At the highest point we take a short break to eat our picnic while enjoying some impressive views. We will be able to see the Tauro Massif, the vertical rock walls of the Barranco de Escusabarajas and the first pine trees of the Pilancones Nature Park. After our break, we hit an old trail called "Los Tabucos". This trail takes us back to the town of Cercados de Espino where we will be rewarded with a delicious tapas menu!
