Tour 7: Circular hike at La Gambuesa

Description:

This tour takes us through the deep caynons of the South. Behind the lake of Ayaguares, we follow the gravel road leading to Arteara until we arrive at an important mountain pass. There we will be amazed by the spectacular view of el Barranco de los Vincentillos. One thinks one is in Nevada, US. In order to leave this canyon, we take "one of Gran Canaria's lost trails". At the next pass, the view is even more dramatic: vertical drops, colourful lakes and "mesas", wherever you look! Then it goes downhill to the picturesque hamlet of La Gambuesa, located in an old palm grove by a beautiful lake. After that we have crossed the dam, we go back to the starting point: the lake of Ayagaures.
